26th anniversary of Independence of Armenia marked in London

On September 23, the concert dedicated to the 26th Anniversary of the Independence of Armenia took place at the Armenian Church of Saint Yeghiche in London. The event was organized by the Armenian Community Council of the United Kingdom under the auspices of the Embassy of Armenia and the Diocese of the Armenian Church.

The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, as well as members of the Armenian community attended the event.

In the welcoming remarks addressed to the guests, the representative of the Embassy of Armenia to the United Kingdom reflected on Armenia’s achievements since independence and touched upon the vision of the future, by highlighting the importance of Armenia-Diaspora cooperation.

 Sona Rubenyan from Armenia and London-based singer Andre Simonian performed patriotic and folk songs in Armenian and English.
