With an open letter-call, I address to the world press, and, of course, SEEMO and IPI, the worlds most reputable international news organizations, who consider the truth and freedom of speech a priority.
Being the chief editor of the USArmenianews.com website in Los Angeles, I, Gayane Manukyan, with full responsibility declare that all the illegal, inhuman and degrading actions against my reputation and dignity contradict to a number of points of European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, and of course, to the ideal and legal activities of the mass media.
Armenuhi Hovsepyan, the founder of the Newspress.am website and the "Reform" "Andradarz" press club, is the only member of SEEMO and IPI international media organizations, who is not only damaging my good name through spreading slander in Armenia, but also throws silt and dirt on your organizations through her behavior, discrediting your universal, human values, informational insoluble ethics, as well as, humanitarian norms.
During my journalism career, I, Gayane Manukyan, presented the issues of concern from the USA concerning my country of birth (Armenia) based on principles of impartiality and peace, which is reflected in my work.
Dear colleagues, a person who discredits me and a journalist who is actually far from journalistic etiquette and its basic principles, Armenuhi Hovsepyan, has been discrediting me for many months, regularly, through the use of media and other means, has been spreading false news and even associated my name with the website haqqin.az, which is known for its misinformation and fake news activities, and of course, for publishing articles that hurt my country and statehood.
Armenuhi Ariana Hovsepyan claims that I had given interviews to the above stated site (haqqin.az), I created chaos, and provided information to the detriment of the Republic of Armenia, placing me to a status of a traitor.
Presenting such false accusations against me, Armenuhi Hovsepyan, forgot about the Article 6 of the Press and Mass Media Law, which defines the ideological essence of the law on abuse of freedom of speech, and also Articles 27 and 28 of this Law, where the rights and obligations of the journalist are clearly stated.
The rumors that have been addressed against me and the presently slandering, hateful, and discrediting news, violate all my rights that were set by the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms on November 4, 1950.
The psychological torture, the cynical and disgraceful publications made by her (Armenuhi Hovsepyan) with the intent and will of this woman, are unacceptable and inhuman.
Let me add that all this, in my opinion and belief, is political and personal persecution, as I have always covered all the atrocities and violence in Armenia that have been carried out by law enforcement agencies and those who are almost always abusing their powerful positions.
Articles published by Armenuhi Hovsepyans website and her commentary writings are unfit for a leader of a media agency and contradict a number of points of the Universal Conventions of Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 5 of which relates to inhuman or degrading treatment, has been and is being repeatedly violated.
Thus, on the basis of the above stated, I appeal to SEEMO and IPI international, reputable organizations, to consider the issue of Armenuhi Hovsepyan for extraordinary consideration, taking into account your own charter and a number of humanitarian norms, depriving her of her membership in your organizations, as well as referring to all European human rights organizations, which would place above all, the universal human values ​​I mentioned and the journalists real respectable worth, will support me and with full power of the law will strictly condemn all that contradicts the international journalistic and humanitarian norms.
